Liljevikin Lomahuvilat (Liljevik Holiday Villas) Booking Terms and Conditions
These booking terms and conditions apply only to reservations made through Liljevikin Lomahuvilat. Liljevikin Lomahuvilat adheres to the following terms and conditions. These booking terms and conditions become binding upon both parties once the customer has made an accommodation reservation.
Age of the Person Making the Reservation
The person making the reservation must be of legal age.
Booking and Payment
The booking is binding immediately upon booking. A confirmation message will be sent to the customer, which also includes an invoice for the booking and rental fees. The booking fee is 15% of the cottage rental price (minimum €50). The invoice is due 7 days from the invoice date. The customer may also pay the booking fee and the final payment in a single transaction. The final payment invoice must be paid no later than one month before the start of the reservation. If the final payment has not been made by the due date, the reservation will be considered cancelled. If the reservation is made later than one month before the start of the reservation, no advance payment will be charged separately. In this case, the booking fee and rent will be charged at the same time. Upon arrival at the resort, the customer must present a receipt for the payment upon request. Liljevikin Lomahuvilat is responsible for ensuring that the customer receives the accommodation services agreed upon in the contract. At the resort, the customer may arrange for other services, which they pay for directly to the resort. Liljevikin Lomahuvilat reserves the right to deny the customer access to the resort if payment has not been made.
Cancellations
Cancellations must ALWAYS be made IN WRITING via email to Liljevikin Lomahuvilat.
Send the email to info@liljevik.fi. The cancellation is considered effective as soon as Liljevikin Lomahuvilat receives the notification. A cancellation fee of 15% of the rental price (min. €50) will be retained for cancellations.
If the reservation is canceled later than 30 days before the start of the vacation, the full rental amount will be charged. Notwithstanding the above, the customer is entitled to a refund of the amount paid to Liljevikin Lomahuvilat, excluding the booking fee, if the cancellation is due to the customer themselves or a person living in the same household suddenly falling ill, being involved in a serious accident, or dying. The event referred to above must be proven in a reliable manner (with a doctor’s note, etc.). No refunds will be issued due to the coronavirus pandemic. Cancellations must be reported immediately.
If the customer changes the accommodation or the dates of the vacation, this will be considered a cancellation of the previous reservation and a new reservation.
The Right of Liljevikin Lomahuvilat to Cancel the Reservation
In the case of a force majeure event or reasons attributable to the owner of the vacation property (e.g., a change in ownership), Liljevikin Lomahuvilat may terminate the agreement, in which case Liljevikin Lomahuvilat must notify the customer of the cancellation as soon as possible. In such cases, the customer is entitled to a refund of any payments made to Liljevikin Lomahuvilat. If payments related to the reservation are not made on time, Liljevikin Lomahuvilat has the right to cancel the reservation.
Key Pick-up and Arrival Instructions
Arrival instructions and key pick-up details will be provided to the guest no later than 24 hours before the reservation starts.
The holiday villa is available to the guests after 4:00 PM on the arrival date and must be vacated by 12:00 PM on the departure date, unless otherwise agreed upon in advance with Liljevikin Lomahuvilat.
Staying at the Holiday Villa and Cleaning
Guests are responsible for cleaning the holiday vila during their stay. The price of Liljevik Holiday Villas includes a final cleaning, unless otherwise stated. Even though final cleaning is included, the property must be left in a condition typical of normal living, meaning that furniture and other equipment (TV, radio, etc.) must be in place and undamaged, trash must be taken out, dishes must be washed, and any other messes must be cleaned up. Any food items brought by the guest must be removed. Used linens and towels must be placed in a pile on the floor of the utility room. Beds do not need to be made. The yard and beach area of the holiday villa must also be tidy. More detailed cleaning instructions can be found in the house folder!
If, at the end of the reservation, the cleanliness of the holiday villa does not meet the standards outlined above and the caretaker must do deep-clean or repair before the next guest arrives, a cleaning fee will be charged, plus an additional charge of €50 per hour for the time spent cleaning.
We charge a separate fee of €15 per set for linens (mandatory) to be used on the beds (unmade). Linens are mandatory. You may bring your own towels or rent them from us (€5 per towel). Beds may not be used without sheets.
At least 4 rolls of toilet paper per toilet are provided for the guest’s use. The guest is responsible for purchasing any additional toilet paper.
For a lost key, the actual costs incurred from replacing the locks will be charged. A €50 surcharge will be charged for unlocking the door.
Use of the always-heated outdoor hot tubs on the terrace (5-person tub at Liljevikin Lahti/7-person tub at Liljevikin Ihanaranta) during the stay costs €160/€200 per booking. Use of the outdoor hot tubs must be agreed on in advance. The water in the hot tub circulates through the filtration system several times a day. In addition, chlorine is used to disinfect the water. If the water in the hot tub becomes dirty due to the guest’s actions, requiring the water to be changed and the tub to be cleaned, we will charge €160/€200 for this.
The reservation includes furniture, cooking and dining utensils, and firewood for the fireplace. Mattresses, blankets, and pillows are included in the rental price.
Burning candles and outdoor fires, both indoors and outdoors, is prohibited. The wooden planks of the deck can char and catch fire even from the heat of a small outdoor fire. Fireworks are prohibited unless specific permission for their use has been obtained from Liljevikin Lomahuvilat.
Compensation for Damage
The customer is responsible for the villa’s equipment and furniture during the rental period and until the villa has been inspected after the customer’s departure on the last day of the rental. Please ensure that all doors are locked and all appliances are turned off before leaving the property. The customer is obligated to compensate the property owner directly for any damage caused to the vacation property or its furnishing.
Smoking, Pets, Power Outages
Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of the vacation property. A €150 ventilation fee will be charged for unauthorised indoor smoking.
Pets are allowed for a fee of €50 per booking.
Liljevikin Lomahuvilat is not liable for allergies or other problems caused by unauthorised smoking or pet dander. Liljevikin Lomahuvilat is not liable for damage caused by force majeure or other unforeseeable circumstances that could not have been prevented even with the utmost care, such as power and water outages, natural phenomena (acts of God), and animals such as mice or ants.
Quiet Hours in the Area Are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Liljevikin Lomahuvilat and their designated maintenance and inspection staff have the landlord’s mandate. If guests staying at the vacation property disturb the neighbours and things don’t improve after one or more warnings, the landlord’s mandate dictates that the rental agreement may be terminated immediately. In such cases, the rental fee will not be refunded to the guest.
Number of Guests
The vacation property may not be occupied by more people than there are beds and mattresses available. Villa Liljevikin Lahti has 13+2 sleeping spaces, while Villa Liljevikin Ihanaranta has 9 per apartment (18 in the entire villa).
Any additional guests must always be agreed upon separately with Liljevikin Lomahuvilat. If more people are staying in the vacation home than agreed upon in advance, Liljevikin Lomahuvilat reserves the right to charge an additional guest fee.
The use of motorhomes and trailers on the resort grounds must be agreed upon in advance with the owner.
Information about Local Services in the Property’s Online Description and Elsewhere
The property description includes references to local services (e.g., restaurants, shops, etc.). Liljevikin Lomahuvilat is not responsible for information regarding general services not associated with the property, nor for their availability during the rental period.
The customer is personally responsible for obtaining any necessary fishing permits.
Please also carefully review the house folder found inside the villa, which contains more detailed instructions!
Complaints
All comments and complaints regarding the vacation destination’s amenities and condition must be directed immediately upon their occurrence during the vacation directly to the property owner: tel. 044 2799 638 or tel. 040 5900 833 or info@liljevik.fi. If the issue is not resolved, the customer must contact the property owner again within 72 hours. A written complaint regarding the reported unresolved issue may be submitted to Liljevikin Lomahuvilat. This must be done no later than one month after the end of the reservation. If the customer and Liljevikin Lomahuvilat/the property owner cannot reach an agreement, the customer may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board. If the customer does not report any deficiencies they have noticed to the caretaker or owner immediately during the rental period, the vacation property is deemed to have been in the condition agreed upon in the contract. If the customer cancels their reservation and leaves the vacation property before the end of the rental period, no compensation will be paid for the unused portion of the stay, and the customer is not entitled to a refund of the rent.
